In Loving Memory
Suzanne Ray
April 23,1956-August 24,2020
Mrs. Suzanne Ray was known as a kind, caring, gentle soul who was full of love and joy to everyone around her. She loved Jesus, and she loved her family. Mrs. Ray was the proud, prayerful mother of two daughters, Amanda Cranford and Whitney Ray. She was a dedicated wife to her husband, Kenny Ray.
She made a career as a registered nurse, including many years in surgery at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Director of Nursing at the Obion County Nursing Home, and she retired working with students at South Fulton Elementary as the school nurse. Her servant’s heart played a role in her career as well as the many roles she took on as an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Ray served as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, youth ministry volunteer, camp nurse, mission trip cook, Upward basketball coach, and much more.
Mrs. Suzanne enjoyed spending time with Kenny going to the movies, bird watching, and doing yard work. Together, they enjoyed “Taco Tuesday” and other adventures with friends Bobbi and the late Jeff Campbell. She loved traveling and exploring with her daughter, Whitney, and sharing cobbler at PV’s Hut with her daughter, Amanda. She loved to cuddle with her sweet dog, Baylee, and watch Hallmark movies. She was an avid Braves fan and she enjoyed going to the beach.
She will always be remembered as a devoted mother and wife, a sweet and supportive sister, and a precious and loyal friend to all. Most importantly, she will always be remembered as a child of God.
Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of Mrs. Suzanne Campbell Ray.
